Thanks. We need to stop funding the BBC. If the government will not do so, some sort of orchestrated boycott of the license fee may be needed. The BBC is monstrous, not only its current affairs, but it relentless promoting of woke ideology in its drama. A lot of BBC drama is unwatchable because it is full of diversity hire actors that aren't plausible or good. BBC coverage of serious current affairs topics, like climate change, has been inexcusably biased. The world will be better without the BBC
We desperately need a coherent plan like yours, offering the same monumental changes now happening in the USA, in order to remove DEI/Marxism/Tony Blair's baleful WEF influence once and for all from our lives and our politics.
We're not getting any clear direction from Reform and the party appears to be on its way to oblivion. Rupert Lowe and yourself are much more in tune with the general mood.
I don't know if you have a strategy to stop Blair particularly in his tracks ... anything 'nasty, brutish and (in) short (order)' would suit the indigenous UK population nicely.
It’s refreshing to see policies being presented as a strategy. Not soundbites, but as a sequence of interconnected actions. I haven’t read anything from anyone else presented in this way. It's always been a frustration I have with politicians who I've often thought need to communicate more like CEOs, not journalists. I hope others learn from this.
I'm interested to learn more about the public sector policy ideas. More freedom around schools and healthcare sounds great!
I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment Douglas and wish you were here in U.K. to rally the effort. I can’t help thinking there is something else that could be done around our British-ness. Nation-hood if you like. We’ve been culturally battered for decades, and it’s taken a huge toll on the native population. I used to live on the outskirts of London which went from a sleepy commuter town in the mid 80s to a place where native Brits were so rare you’d almost fall on each other in gratitude. We need a plan to make us feel English again.
Pretty much none of the State misbehaviour you describe could happen without money. My money.
I am a lifelong taxpayer, happy to pay his fair share and support compatriots who are unable.
But now I am in a minority, overburdened by a State which extorts money as if it were proceeds of crime, not endeavour; which asks no permission for its expenditure and provides no account of its (in)efficiency; and which mismanages a huge monopoly even while it enforces strict anti-monopoly laws.
It’s parasitic, immoral, and it should be illegal.
But the many millions of recipients of State largesse have no desire to change this. And so it will continue, until economic collapse. Only a taxpayers’ revolt would force a hard reappraisal of the State’s role, force reversion of its expenditure back to normal levels and catalyse productivity.
Agreed! There should be constitutional controls on the raising and spending of revenue - it cannot be a blank cheque from the taxpayer to the government who make capricious decisions on foreign aid, the funding of foreign wars, dimming the sun and other madness. Nothing to stop the Chancellor taking all our income in tax either - remember the top marginal rate of 98% in 1975.
Additionally, only taxpayers should be allowed to vote, otherwise it's parasites voting for free stuff.
Hi. I came here after watching your interview with Nick Dixon, which I highly recommend. Very interested in the milestones work. As others have said, we need a plan.
Can I ask what you'd do about the BBC? They could be a big factor in organizing obstruction to a reforming Government.
Sadly leadership with qualities such as yours is absent from this dim leadership lacking any intellect and moral compass. Nothing will change and everything continue to decline. The poor receive unsustainable benefits, the rich divert their wealth off shore and so those of us in middle are unreasonably taxed to fund their profligacy. No wonder we are all becoming right of right wing.
We need you but cannot imagine how you could stomach working alongside the numpty brigade !
I heard our current predicament prophesied in 1990 by the impressive Myles Dempsey (1928-2018) of the Catholic Renewal.
He also prophesied that it was all part of God's plan - for a new, genuinely Christian Britain to be built, our existing Britain must first become mere dust.
The 1911 Prophecy (coming from a group of monks in a monastery north of Moscow) must also be considered, as its main statements (about Russia) came horribly true. As has its prophecy that France would "become nothing."
Regarding Britain, then global hegemon and financial capital, the monks prophesied that it would lose its imperial greatness, then come to "almost complete ruin", but would eventually be saved by the prayers of women.
One part of the discussion which needs to be included is the recognition that many who are first and second generation share the frustration anger and sense of desperation. They need to be included and recruited in helping in the fight back ( for example the Sikhs did more to fight the grooming gangs than the Authorities) The many Hong Kong Chinese, most SE Asians, many Indians are not causing any trouble, have low crime rates, higher employment and if not integrated in some cases are at least not actively trying to undermine, pervert and behave in a way which is degrading the country and threatening lives. There is a benefit to some to muddy the waters on who is who.
The threat from a portion of a certain demographic region is a clear and present danger. Only a few short years until there is a tipping point demographically, it may already be too late unless Muslim moderates are engaged supported and protected.
You have to sympathise with politicians, it is daunting to say the least. The qualities needed to face the resistance and obstacles to doing what is necessary and outlined in Milestones will take intelligence, alliances, determined communication and immense courage.
I’m interested to know more about what Douglas would do about devolution. At a national level for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and at a regional level including Sadiq’s London.
Layers of additional bureaucracy and division. Would they be removed, evolved or kept?
Starting at the point where a party has taken on this policy platform and then won power overestimates our politicians and the British public enormously.

When are you coming back to the UK to help bring about the implementation of this plan ?
Your country needs you.

I endorse everything you have outlined. Fingers crossed that it will be implemented soon. I am by nature an optimist.
Comeback your country needs you.

Thanks for your wonderfully detailed recovery plan for Britain.
But I fear it won't be taken up by the powerful until Britain (for reasons external and/or domestic) has crashed and is a heap of rubble.
And then something will have to be done.
I'm sorry. Even to me, it sounds like a Dictatorship.
